Introducing “Hayati”

Hi everyone, happy to see you here.

Things have gone a long way to get to this point.

I introduce to you “Hayati”, the extension of what started as The Hayati Project, a personal endeavour to advocate for contemporary issues in the life sciences, technology, and beyond. The word “Hayati” means “life”. It is derived from an Indonesian word of Arab origin.

The Hayati Project, long before its name was created, started as a science communication endeavor to communicate about biological data and the pandemic to the public. Today the endeavor culminates and diverges to topics such as vaccine safety, biological data, digital data breach and ethics in bioengineering and information technology.

Our main focus today are to call for

• the withdrawal of COVID-19 vaccines,
• the withdrawal and legal prohibition of nucleic acid-based therapeutics,
• the legal prohibition of gain-of-function research in infectious agents,
• the fair access and benefit sharing to biological data,
• and the regulation of digital data use and breach in information technology and artificial intelligence.
